I caught some decent size bass fishing the other side of the lake form where I normally fish. We haven't had much rain which has made the side of the lake I can't normally fish, accessible. This was a really fun springtime bass fishing adventure in a small S. W. Florida pond.
I only fished for about two hours using a rapala minnow and a chartreuse double bladed spinnerbait. There were some many abandoned bass beds around the lake. I didn't go when the fish were spawning because it was snook season. I'd much rather catch snook during the season than bass on the beds. Perhaps next year I'll visit this pond when they are spawning, beds were freaking everywhere!
