I went wade fishing two hours before sunset and caught a couple of fish and lost a few too on paddle tail soft swim baits. There have been reports of redfish being caught along this flat that I've fished several times during the past month. I've caught trout, Spanish mackerel, ladyfish, jacks and a small grouper in this spot, but never a lot of fish during one trip.
I don't think I'll hit this spot again for a while. There's just not much action happening here. Also, it's a popular place for people to wade fish. While I was there this last time there were two kaykas and three other people wade fishing. It's obviously a very pressured fishing spot.
Even though I only caught a jack crevalle and a ladyfish I had an absolute blast.
